Submitting Entries

Entries for 2023 U.S. National Sake Appraisal are now being accepted. Entry applications can be submitted by fax, or scanned and submitted as email attachments to entries@sakeappraisal.org. Entries can also be submitted online. Please read the instructions carefully before sending your entry.

Online Submission of Entries

You cannot save the data when you exit the online entry portal. Therefore please refer to entry form (page 9 of entry information) and write down all information needed before filling in the online entry form.

Fax Submission of Entries

Please download and fill out the entry form and fax to: 808-739-1000 (within U.S.) or 03-3779-1268 (from Japan).

Important Dates

Entry form submission period February 20–April 20, 2023
Sample shipping deadline from U.S. June 29, 2023
Judging August 29–31, 2023
Judging Results Announced September 5, 2023

Judging Categories

• Daiginjo A (Rice Polishing Ratio 40% or less)
• Daiginjo B (Rice Polishing Ratio 50% or less)
• Ginjo (Rice Polishing Ratio 60% or less)
• Junmai (Rice Polishing Ratio 70% or less)

Announcement of Results

Results will be announced on September 5, 2023 (Hawai‘i time) on this website and notification given to the media.

Certificates and Award Seals

Award certificates will be mailed after the results have been announced. An electronic file of the U.S. National Sake Appraisal award seal for promotional use is available upon request and without charge.
